Episode 259: Before You "Wait For Each Other" is a conversation I've been wanting to have for a long time. Whether you're preparing to serve a mission, currently serving, a returned missionary, a missionary parent, or navigating a boyfriend or girlfriend relationship before a mission, this episode is for you. I dive into common questions about dating, waiting for each other, mission relationships, emotional independence, homesickness, self confidence, and how to approach these relationships in a healthy and supportive way.
In this episode, I share some of the biggest challenges I see missionaries face when they are emotionally attached to someone back home. We talk about emotional dependence, confidence that comes from another person, surrendering to the process, trusting God's timing, relationship anxiety, emotional regulation, jealousy, uncertainty, and learning how to create your own emotional stability. I also share practical questions you can ask yourself to determine whether a relationship is supporting your mission experience or making it harder than it needs to be.
If you've ever wondered whether you should wait for someone, how to handle a relationship during a mission, or how to stay emotionally grounded when someone you care about is far away, Episode 259: Before You "Wait For Each Other" will give you practical tools, mindset shifts, and a healthier perspective on relationships, faith, confidence, and trusting the process.
As always, if you found this episode helpful, I want to invite you to subscribe if you aren't already, share this episode with your friends and missionaries you know, and write a review. I know this work will help LDS missionaries around the world and it would mean so much to me if you did. Until next week my friends.
