Communication is the name of my game! IEP teams are just that – teams. In order to work as a team through each year, and in some cases year after year, communication must flow from school to home and from home to school.
I know first-hand how difficult it is for teachers to put together all of the pieces to really understand a child. I also know how amazing it is when a teacher shows extra interest in getting to know my child. In today’s episode I marry those two concepts to describe three communication tips that teachers can use to elicit more communication with parents and to better understand their students right from the start of the semester.
If you’re making New Year’s Resolutions, better communication may be a good place to start! This short listen will get you started in the right direction.
