In this week’s episode, I dive into a topic that I feel we all need to talk more about…Shame. The amount of shame that most humans carry is immense. And I feel that it’s at the root of so much suffering.
Shame shuts us down. It cuts us off from our vitality, creativity, and of course, our pleasure. It derails our confidence and even impacts our immune system. And yet it’s so prevalent that we rarely notice the impact it has on our lives.
"Shame is a thief. It steals our belief in our experience and our belief in ourselves."
-David Bedrick J.D.
Shame is a heavy, toxic vibration, perhaps one of the most toxic vibrations there is. It's like a virus attacking our capacity to love life, each other, and ourselves. And it's an epidemic. Every human carries some degree of shame and doing healing work to release it and integrate it is absolutely essential to accessing our full vitality, creativity, erotic power, and pleasure.
When we can name it, we can begin to heal it.
So how do we heal?
I explore that question in this episode and offer some simple DIY body-based tips on how to begin to heal, including a guided meditation.
