It’s an eery time…and I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to hop on my flight and leave New York. Is it Y2K ? Is the world ending? Does this mean we still have to pay bills? Brendan and I sloppily explain why the CrowdStrike outage happened, then we cut to Hulk-a-mania at the RNC! So much to unpack and it’s giving reality tv a true run for their money. We have our own theories and none of them you should take seriously, because we’re just two 30 somethings who are trying to do our laundry and maybe enjoy a seafood tower and a few dirty martinis at Happy Hour. It’s a confusing time, the plot is thickening and we just want to know if we’re still going to be able to say Hell yeah, Brother!? P.S. This episode was recorded before Kamala Harris became the Presidential Democratic nominee, if you haven’t caught that!
We move off the reality TV episode that is American politics and discuss what we get our parents and the adults in our lives for gifts. What do you get people who have everything they need? We are at the age where if we really want something, we buy it. Gift giving in 30 Pause can be a little tricky, and we both agree- experiences over material things.
I share how I plan to live out the rest of the year now that I’m able to, and doing so authentically as possible. My time in New York with Brendan, my Friendan was unforgettable and I can’t wait to come back. As always thank you for listening & reading.

In this episode I am at 90% health/homostasis and I hope you can all hear it in my voice. I had a lot of catching up for lost time in New York so once I was back to myself again, I was ready for a full weekend agenda. Brendan shares his Tacky 30 Pause moment and in true ADHD millennial fashion we zip zap zop through our weekend activities while reminiscing 90s country music. And we got a surprise visit from the ghost of Jimmy Buffett so recording this episode was full of surprises and giggles.
If you’re ever in New York take a minimum 2 hour walk through Central Park, it’s an absolute must! Brendan and I saw a wedding, a proposal and took fire pics for gram within the first hour we were there. We stumbled upon the Manhattan Henge which was pure kismet, and stopped at a couple of fabulous restaurants. We capped our weekend with great company and a laugh out loud funny AF Off-Broadway theatre production -Titanique. It honestly was one of the best weekends and I’ll never forget it and I’m so glad to share it all with my 30 Pausers.
As always thanks for listening. Please share this episode and enjoy :)

Brendan and I have been friends for 16 years. Our friendship can legally drive. For the first 10/15 minutes of the show, we babble like besties do. After we’ve get our snackies and drinkies together, and hype each other up on our physical traits because that’s one of our favorite past times, we get right into what’s the best NYC hacks, tips, and tricks. I talk about my Love/Hate relationship with New York and I think anyone who spends enough time in the city will also have the same sentiment when it comes to the Big Apple. From $19 mediocre breakfast sammies to finding the best Bodega bacon egg and cheese-New York will make you live in the present. I dive into some culture shocks (29:00) when it comes to Brooklyn and how many white people cosplay poor and homely. You truly never know who they are because they could very well own multiple Manhattan properties and a tech firm. It’s really a wild experience to witness but hey to each their own, because that’s New York for ya. Also stinky people in the heat of the summer is OFFENSIVE! And that’s a not a judgement, it’s a fact. Brendan shares his NYC hacks (40:00) and they are important-so listen up, buttercups.
Enjoy a break from your reality with us two unhinged 30 somethings and our take on New York City/Brooklyn living. I wrap the episode up with understanding that new spaces and places heed and instill more confidence within ourselves. New York reminded me that I have all the tools and capabilities. In 30 Pause we experience more, and when you experience more you gain more confidence, and trust within ourselves. And thats a real #30pause flex.

Today Brendan my Friendan put on his producer’s cape and really held ya girl down in this episode. Buckle up because its definitely an emotional rollercoaster ride. I share what I’ve been up to and my rocky & real New York experience thus far. I came to New York to Pause, create, get inspired, meet new people…what I got was a series of unfortunate events along with some precious and amazing moments. I unexpectedly get vulnerable and become a blubbering mess so yeah this episode is about sharing my own whoopsie doodles and blunders. We laugh, we cry. Its 30 Pause in its truest form. A part of me absolutely hates it and another part of me is like It is what it is !
We get real and raw and that holds true to the 30 Pause brand and Podcast. The mic was on & this is what came of it. Very little editing and it’s really a different POV when you’re not wearing the producer/host hat. I reflect and you unpack what the fuck has happened in my life over the past few weeks in NYC and what is going to continue to happen whether I allow it, change it, or Universe rearranges it. #30Pause This one is for my true subscribers (even though this platform is currently free). It’s for the people who get it, and for those who don’t-don’t. And that’s okay with me. I’m not for everybody.
As always thanks for listening. Be sure to follow Brendan my Friendan @brookynbrendan on Instagram and that way y’all can be internet friendans with my bestie. Because he’s truly amazing and more people need to know of his amazingness :)

In this episode I invited Entrepreneur and Business Owner, Amanda White on as my guest. She's a woman and mother in her 30s navigating the bra business & has successfully owned Beyond the Bra Boutique and Mobile for 3 years. Amanda has fit hundreds, if not close to thousands of women & helped them get into a better bra. Not only are they getting a custom bra fitting experience and new bras, but she's providing them a foundation when it comes to how their clothes fit, improving their posture, aches & pains, and instantly witnessing their confidence skyrocket. I sat down with Amanda and we talk all things Entrepreneurship and how we're really just a bunch of misfit creatives who knew we had talent, skill, and a knack for following our gut and going for it. She shares how she got started, the trial and errors of entrepreneurship and how it's more than just bras, it's an experience & opportunity for women to better their lives. Amanda shares the health benefits of wearing a proper fitting bra and how your bra and your seat belt safety go hand in hand. We laugh, we share stories, and we get really real about starting businesses in our 30s. Listen, share, and enjoy 🎢

Ergo, I’m allowing myself to really take my time with it and I'm excited to share with y'all how it turns out and what it means for me. In this episode Ethan Keen is my guest and I had a blast being able to record with him in the studio. He’s a Personal Trainer, Nutritionist, and Entrepreneur. Every year during that weird week between Christmas & NYE it has us all thinking about New Year goals and ambitions, and chances are we're all thinking the same one-to lose weight and/or get healthier. I sit down with Ethan and dive into this health and fitness lifestyle conversation because in 30 Pause it's more about the long lasting perspectives we need to encompass in order for us to be at the health & fitness level we so desire. We talk about sitting in discomfort & the way we treat our body is an outward manifestation of our internal values and beliefs. We all have different definitions of what healthy and fit is. Ethan and I crack open a series of good relatable 30 Pause moments, how we view our physical health and how deeply connected it is to our mental and emotional wellbeing. As always thanks for listening and be sure to like, comment, share & subscribe.🎢💕
