I don’t know if anyone listening can relate to this - but when I first started my business I constantly looked at what the competition was doing. I built my website just like theirs, I chose my brand colors to look similar to theirs. I used language like, ‘We’ or ‘Our team of experts' to make me look bigger than I was so that I could be in the same league as the big wedding stationery companies.
Can anyone relate to this? Or maybe you’re following a bunch of your competitors and you’re getting ideas from there? They’re doing instagram reels so you need to do reels. They’re offering a certain type of service, so maybe that’s something you should offer? I know I’m not alone here.
So today, we're NOT going to talk about how to compare yourself to your competition, we’re not going to talk about how to get ahead, or how to be better than them. We're going to go a step above all of that … we’re going to cover how to make the competition totally irrelevant.
