1. Having taken your Personality Profile I found that I have none of the characteristics needed to sell myself. How do I overcome this problem as I work to create an income from home with my own business? I love helping and teaching people one on one and have many skills but am dismal at sales of any kind. Please help!
2. I am faced with the decision of taking a risk of opening a business, that if I succeed, will be in a field of interest and help to generate a better lifestyle OR go back to college and hope to get a job that will bring me similar success in my life. I cannot continue where I am. I have to make a decision.
3. Your low cost business ideas are great. However, you don't go into the difference on gross, net and self employment taxes. Do you have a different view on taxes or do you leave this for your audience to find out when they get audited?
4. I have an idea for taking some of your easy start ups and create a branding for several of them and offer them as a package or start up kit throughout the country. I think this would be an opportunity to help others earn extra income or create a whole new career for them as well.
5. I work with unemployed members of my church to help them find more meaningful employment. Some of them have been out of work for over 8 months. What are some coaching principles you would be willing to share for those of us that want to help people set in ineffective methods and beliefs?

2. I have a good government job that allows me to telecommute. I go weeks between projects. It goes against my work ethic to do something other than work during the 8 hours I'm paid for. It's killing my self-esteem. Your thoughts?
3. Dan is your 48Days a self help program and will it find me a better job or is that all hype to sell your book? If it does work do you have any proof of this? I am a critic as I believe you are trying to sell me something that may not work just so you can get rich.
4. The insurance agency I work for is literally dying. Business hasn't been great in this area -- my paycheck has been less than $18,000/yr. The agency manager wants to retire in 5 years and is trying to encourage me to take over. I'm sick of living paycheck to paycheck, but have a family to support. Any advice?
5. I am working 40-60 hrs a week not including drive time. Only on page 96 after a little more than a month reading 48 Days to the Work You Love. I want a more suitable job, but feel overwhelmed and tired. If I can’t put out a ton of time to my job search what can be done? Thanks

1. What are transferable skills? Can you please give an example of someone who successfully transferred skills from one industry to a different industry?
2. I know my passion but have spent my whole life avoiding and even sabotaging it due to fear. Fear of failure, fear of success, fear of the unknown, fear of running out of money, etc. How do I get past my fear so I don't lose my chance?
3. I want to do a series of interviews with authors and celebrities that I will turn into products to sell in creative ways. What are my legal, financial and ethical obligations with the people I interview?
4. We are trying to relocate back to Colorado, but it is 12 hours away. We have been following your plan and he even went out to Colorado for interviews, but since he was not currently a "local" he was passed up. What else can we do to get job offers if we are not a "local"?
5. Hi Dan, I have some ideas on how to improve a couple of existing products in the pet & lawn care industry, but i have no idea what steps to take next.
6. I am Rose, an avid fan of all your work. The other day I heard you have people coming to your events all the way from Columbia? I live in Costa Rica, and I got the craziest idea of proposing you to hold one of those events here. I would love to meet you personally and here there is SO much you could do in regards to adventure tourism, nature tourism, volcanoes, beaches, rivers, canopy, a huge variety of forests, scuba diving, dolphin/whale watching, etc.

1. Do you and Dave Ramsey ever debate your ideologies? I find it cool that the both of you are such good friends but there are some ideological differences in your messages.
2. I know you aren't fond of people finding JOBS to get by but instead encourage people to do something they love. But since we have debt and I still need to bring in a steady income I am looking for a job.
3. I'm a music teacher and absolutely love my job. Our salaries are based on a chart with our number of years and education level. I'm working on a master's degree. I teach lessons and perform concerts. What are some other ways I could increase my income, especially when all school districts have the same type of pay scale?
4. My friend is a newlywed aged 40 and with major heart issues. He has been unable to find full time employment, so at the moment is working PT. What would you suggest he do? His wife also has been unable to land employment and they do not have much support, and I have a bad feeling they may be on welfare one day soon.
5. Was wondering if you have experienced any turnover rates for your contract positions. I know you've said you have no employees. So, I was wondering in some positions do they leave because they have the need for medical benefits? Do you get any resentment or questions about providing health insurance?

1. Dan, I recently reviewed your 999 business ideas. I like the idea of providing a mobile tool sharpening service. I have the necessary knowledge and most of the tools. My biggest question is how to advertise. I've thought of Craigslist, newspaper etc. but I have no marketing knowledge.
2. I am 51, been with same company for 30 years, I have never liked my job. My pension from work will never amount to enough to really retire. Question, When should I retire? Should I put in 11 more years to reach maximum benefit or get out soon with less retirement money but more time to build another income?
3. I just finished reading an article on the decline of the middle class. I would be interested in hearing your comments on this article and whether or not your "No More Mondays" business/employment model is a solution to the decline of the middle class.
4. Dan, with all your good ideas I’m wondering – do you ever have any bad ideas?
5. I have an idea that I want to develop into a product for sale. My question is: When talking to prospective manufacturers, how do I protect my idea from being stolen?
6. Dan, I have passions, but they're random. Answering the "If you could do anything" question gets answers ranging from finding classic cars for buyers, to singing, to becoming a mechanic, to acting, etc. Help!

1. I am miserable at my job because I am on salary and working 60-70 hrs a week and not much time for anything else. I would love to just quit my job and go pursue my dreams, but I do have a wife and 3 children that I dearly love and need to take care of.
2. I wonder, is it too late for me? Is it too late for me to go to school and learn the things I always wanted to do? I don’t know, I feel like I’m too old. It seems like everybody around me knows what they want to do except me. I’m very frustrated. I’m ready for change. I just don’t know what to do.
3. I am a 60 year old woman; I found out last year I have muscular dystrophy. My question is in regard to two student loans I took out about 6-7 years ago. I was trying to get a Master's degree to obtain an easier job that paid well. This is not going to happen. In light of my health condition and financial situation, is there any way to get a student loan forgiveness?
4. In one of your books you intrigued me by the prediction that there may be more jobs in the future for "people whisperers." Obviously we don't see the term "people whisperer" in job listings, so could you tell me some types of jobs/positions that require this skill? What type of personality do they have? What skills are essential? What passions might a people whisperer have?
5. A few years ago, a friend shared with me an idea she had for a cooking product. She asked me to sign a non-disclosure agreement, which I gladly did. All these years later, I know for a fact that she didn’t end up taking her product idea anywhere, and I think it has real potential. Is there a ‘statute of limitations’ on the document I signed, and more importantly, is it ethically wrong for me to try to get this product to market without my friend’s blessing? I don’t want to make enemies, but I do want to make some money!
