For decades we were told dietary fat was harmful for our health and contributed to a variety of health issues including cardiac problems, including weight gain.
Since then scientific research has evolved which means the conversation about consuming dietary fat is more complicated than first thought.
In this episode I discuss this evolution in the science and show that the traditional view of dietary fat and its relationship to LDL cholesterol which was called 'bad cholesterol'.
I also discuss the significance of Apo B and Lipoprotein A which are considered to be more accurate markers for cardiac health than LDL cholesterol.
I also explore how dietary fat cannot be considered in isolation, it must be considered as part of a persos overall lifestyle, health , diet and genetics.
