When preparing for a goal race, one thing that is easy to overlook (at least for me) is how much an illness can derail your progress.
There is never a good time to get sick, but when you're gearing up for a race getting sick really sucks.
While you may not be able to completely mitigate the risk of your immune system letting you down, you can certainly take steps to avoid sabotaging it yourself!
