This week I sat down with, Gary Hall Jr, a pioneer in making swimming a spectacle sport.
Growing up I watched Gary represent team USA in the 1996, 2000, and 2004 Olympics.
What stood out to me most about him was his character and how much fun he had while competing his way to 10 Olympic medals and 2 World Records. He’s since been inducted into the US Olympic Hall of Fame.
He’s best known for the swagger he brought to the pool deck with his pre race boxing robe and shadow boxing. We breakdown this and more on Episode 63 of The Athletic Mindset.
