The biggest problem with the plan to reach full financial freedom in the digital product space is that it is really a HUGE “volume play” where you have to sell hundreds or thousands of units per month in order to succeed. And, in order to accomplish that volume play, it’s not at all the “passive” income stream that many people initially wanted from this Etsy venture so many of them drop off. Maybe you’re in a position right this moment where you are discovering… wow, this is NOT at all what I thought this was going to be. The volume play requires a lot of active work up front in order to get to the point you’re looking for. If that is discouraging to you, there is another way. You can still hit your income goals with digital products by driving up your AOV (Average Order Value). This will allow you to hit your income goals with digital products much faster than the volume play. There are 3 ways to do this: multi-listing orders, multi-item orders, and high AOV listings.
