I oftentimes hear people talk about owning a rental salon like a golden ticket. That if you switched to this structure, your problems would melt away and life as a business owner would become so much easier.
As a salon owner who has owned a commission salon, rental salon, hybrid salon and salon suites, I can confidently tell you that owning a rental salon requires just as much work (with less profit) as a commission salon.
