Joe Ovies, Adam Eshbaugh, and Wayne Holt host this week, and visit with guest Amanda Hodge, Area Sales Manager for Great Lakes Brewing Company. Joe starts off inquiring about their Christmas Ale. Then, they talk about their Oktoberfest Lager. 

Amanda brought in for sample, the Holy Moses White Ale. Then, Amanda offers samples, and gives the history behind the Dortmunder Gold Lager, the Burning River Pale Ale, the Elliot Ness Amber Ale, the Edmund Fitzgerald Porter, and the Great Lakes IPA. Finally, Amanda tells how she got in the business, and how the craft beer industry has evolved since then.

They also talked about Vitamin Sea, an Australian Sparkling Ale; and Moscow Mule, a Berliner Weisse.  

Southern Pines Brewing Company’s core beers are Duck Hook, a Cream Ale; Man of Law, an American IPA; Malty by Nature, a Scottish Amber; Grapefruit, a Hefeweizen Wheat Beer; Nav, a Mexican Lager; Moore IPA, an American IPA; and Texas Rig, an Imperial IPA. 

They also have Pineapple Thief, a New England IPA; Dance of the Absurd, a Double New England IPA; Oktoberfest, a German Malt; Partisan Rock, a Russian Imperial Stout; and Maple Pecan Granola Stout, an Imperial Oatmeal Stout; Priorless, a Milk Stout; Bourbon Barrel-Aged German Chocolate Stout, and Imperial Stout; and Bourbon Barrel-Aged Drunken Vigils Stout.
