Today's 94 WIP Midday Show discussed the Sixers after their 5th consecutive win last night. With the trade deadline tomorrow, it is worth asking if now is the time to fully invest in the team. All-star and future hall of famer Giannis Antetokounmpo is on the trade block and has been linked to the Sixers. Eliot Shorr-Parks says that it would be irresponsible to think they cannot make the finals this year. Spike Eskin joined the show to argue that the Sixers should absolutely trade for Antetokounmpo. Rick Tocchet had some words for Matvei Michkov this weekend. Listen at the end for an intervention with Hugh Douglas about traffic and the daily You People segment!

In hour 1, the 94 WIP Midday Show are talking Sixers and questioning whether or not we should fully buy-in to this 2025 squad after their fifth straight win last night. Giannis Antetokounmpo is on the trading block and there have been a lot of rumors that the Sixers may want to look into the possibility of trading for him. Joe Giglio wants to invest in the team because the Eastern Conference is wide open this season, but does not want to trade for Antetokounmpo. Hugh Douglas wants to stay put, enjoy this season, and watch the slow growth of star rookie VJ Edgecombe.

In hour 2, Eliot Shorr-Parks joined the 94 WIP Midday Show to discuss what the Sixers strategy should be as the trade deadline looms. He says that the team is worth investing in and that Daryl Morey should care more about this season than the future. But he also is hesitant on trading away multiple pieces, specifically VJ Edgecombe, for Giannis Antetokounmpo. He says that it would be irresponsible not to think the team can make the NBA Finals this season. The Pro Bowl was last night and its clearly become a very unattractive event for fans.

In hour 3, Spike Eskin joined the 94 WIP Midday Show to discuss the current situation surrounding Giannis Antetokounmpo as the trade deadline looms near. He argues that the Sixers should trade for Giannis because it gives them the best chance to win a championship. He also says that the team as currently constructed can make the Eastern Conference Finals. He says that anyone who has faith that Joel Embiid can stay healthy the remainder of this season is crazy and insane. It seems like the Bucks have not gotten any offers enticing enough to trade Antetokounmpo.

In hour 4, the 94 WIP Midday Show look at some Flyers headlines surrounding coach Rick Tocchet and Matvei Michkov. Tocchet said that he was unhappy with Michkov coming into preseason camp out of shape. Hugh Douglas compares this situation to his playing career when he also had a coach who was unhappy with him for being out of shape. Also, there was an intervention with the rest of the show to talk about Hugh's current rivalry with the morning traffic in Philadelphia. Listen at the end for the You People segment, as the guys react to the comments of the YouTube live stream!

Coach Rick Tocchet recently made comments that he was unhappy with Michkov for coming into this season's training camp out of shape. Hugh Douglas can relate to this type of situation and talked through what both the team and Michkov are probably thinking. He is mostly wondering what Michkov is doing whenever he is not playing healthy and says that if he truly has a mindset to get better, this will not be a recurring issue.
