Delaney continues her adventures in Washington D.C. this week; today bringing us a discussion held with members of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting and EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt held yesterday. The broadcasters were interested in discussing several key issues with Pruitt, most notably the increase in 'hardship' waivers granted to small refiners that exempt them from fulfilling their RFS obligations. These have been a hot topic in the biofuels industry for the past six months, with their usage under this administration far exceeding any former EPA.Plus, why is Chinese food getting to be so expensive? Delaney is still in Washington D.C., learning how the "sausage is made" so to speak, and she will be bringing us those interviews over the next several days - including a conversation with EPA head Scott Pruitt about the controversial RFS waivers that have been granted this year in much larger numbers than in previous years.And, since it's #TechTuesday, she chatted with Sarah Macedo and Gen O'Sullivan from CropLife America about their efforts to both reach farmers in an engaging way, and to reach consumers who really don't understand how important crop protection products are to all types of agriculture.
