On Wednesday, the Miami Dolphins stole the show ahead of the AFC Championship game by parting ways with defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. Both sides agreed to go in different directions after the franchise allowed 23 points per game in 2023.

Miami enters the offseason roughly $45 million over the salary cap, and virtually half the roster is set to reach free agency — making a switch at defensive coordinator is less than ideal one year after Fangio signed on to Mike McDaniel’s coaching staff.

We run through a handful of options for the Dolphins to consider as the next defensive coordinator. Either way, this isn't the best way to begin the third year with McDaniel calling the shots.

It was a surprise to all of us when Tua Tagovailoa noted communication issues following last weekend's loss in Kansas City. After two years if these issues, is it time for Mike McDaniel to go back to the drawing board and simplify the offense for late-season games?

The Miami Dolphins held a three-game lead in the AFC East with five games left in the regular season. The Dolphins could've — and probably should've — hosted a playoff game at Hard Rock Stadium.
