Fans were speechless leaving Miami's home opener on Sunday as the Dolphins demolished the Denver Broncos 70-20 in an offensive showing that hasn't been matched in half a century. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa connected with Tyreek Hill on a long shot down the field for the first of Miami's ten touchdowns. Raheem Mostert and De'Von Achane stole the show, combining for eight touchdowns.

Mike While and Robbie Chosen got into the action late with a 68-touchdown reception in the fourth quarter. The Dolphins were unstoppable — without wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.

Winning by 50 points is a full-team effort. Sunday was no different as Miami's defense forced three turnovers and hit Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson 12 times as Mike McDaniel improved to 7-1 in September.

Each of Miami's ten touchdowns came on offense, but the defense played a massive role in the 50-point win over the Denver Broncos. Jevon Holland and David Long Jr. each earned eight tackles while Denver's rushing attack was held to just 3.5 yards per carry on the ground. Emmanuel Ogbah was the only player to sack Russell Wilson, but Denver's quarterback was hit 12 times while passing for 306 yards on 38 attempts.

Rookie Da'Shawn Hand made his mark by knocking a ball into the arms of Ogbah for an interception during the second half. More than ten players closed the home opener with at least three tackles while the Broncos struggled to find any answers.

To say Sunday's 70-20 win over the Denver Broncos is an early-season statement win may be a slight understatement. Miami's offense erupted for a record-setting 10 touchdowns and 726 yards of total offense, the most in NFL history. Tagovailoa threw four touchdown passes while running backs De'Von Achane and Raheem Mostert combined for eight more in the blowout win.

It was another great day for the offensive line, Miami's quarterbacks have been sacked just once throughout this three-game winning streak to begin the year. Next up, a divisional showdown with the Buffalo Bills.

The home opener! Expect Hard Rock Stadium to be loud as the Miami Dolphins play in South Florida for the first time this season. Coach Mike McDaniel's squad found early success with wins in back-to-back road games against AFC opponents to kickstart the 2023 season.

The Dolphins got to Mac Jones for four sacks and eight quarterback hits last week and will now face a Denver Broncos offensive line that allowed Russell Wilson to be sacked seven times against Washington last week.

All eyes will be on Tua Tagovailoa and Miami's high-powered offense against a Denver defense that has struggled early in the season. Robert Mays, host of The Athletic Football Show, summarized this offense with the perfect stat: 17.5 percent of Miami's plays have been explosive so far. There is a greater gap between them at one and the team at two than between teams 2-11.

Jaelan Phillips hopes to return to the lineup after missing last week's game and should play an important role against a quarterback who likes to sit in the pocket and let plays develop. Most importantly, improving to 3-0 with a win in the home opener is an opportunity Miami can't squander.
