  • The Test

In this episode, Associate Pastor T.J. Tyus takes us through the life of Job to exemplify how he persisted in his faith despite what God allowed to happen to him. Job is a perfect example for us to consider when it comes to passing test that enter our life with prayer and faith to have a more abundant life afterwards.

2:00 - Control what comes out of your mouth. Praise him with your lips and speak life into all you do.

4:20 - “Just because you’re obsessed, doesn’t mean you won’t be put to test.”

7:15 - Practicing sin is equivalent to being comfortable engaging in sin. Practice righteousness and fight the good fight of faith!

12:04 - Would you be able to pass the same test that Job had? Look at the test in your life currently & find the strength to praise through it! There’s no better time to build endurance to sustain the blessing after the conclusions of the test.

Take some time to reflect right now on what Gods Expectation for you, the Exposure you’ve received up to this point, and the lessons learned from the Experience.

3:30 - “There is power in words.” Shift your mindset from trying to do something versus executing on something.

9:04 - John 9:5 tells us to be a light unto the world so that we can shine upon darkness. What is stopping you from being a light unto the world? Unbelief, sin, excuses?

12:05 - Ecclesiastes 9:10 tells us that “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.” Do things with all your heart. Not trying to, but everything that you possibly can to make it happen.

14:12 - Matthew 17:20 encourages us to have faith of a mustard seed so that we can give glory to God in the midst and completion of our work.

20:12 - What do you do after your exposed to experiences with God? Take heed to the disciples interactions in the book of Matthew’s. It comes a time where only our actions can progress us forward.

  • The Art of Execution Pt. 1

Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. Proverbs 22:29

Happy New Year Everyone! In part one of the Execution series, Dr Thomas speaks on believing in the miracles that Jesus can do, and his mindset while doing so. We have the perfect example of someone who executes in everything he touches. We have access to the same source that Jesus did to operate in 120%, the Holy Spirit. Be prepared to shift your mindset from trying to execution after looking at a miracle performed in John Chapter 4.

1:41 - Focus on what God is calling you to do. With everything that’s happening in the world, It’s vital that we are intentional with spending time to stay in alignment with him.

3:09 - Let’s prepare now what’s to come in the future. How are you executing in your preparation for what you’re believing God for?

4:30 - John 4:46. Execution occurred from turning water to wine. If you’re able to witness a miracle done by Jesus, believe that he can do the same for you.

8:30 - John 4:47. He didn’t go to Jesus with trying on his mind. He was confident in what he could do and followed his instructions. Don’t be afraid or to proud to call out to God. If our hearts are set on praising him, it shouldn’t matter how we look to other people in do so.

10:30 - John 4:48-52. Believe Jesus! Listen to his instructions an believe wholeheartedly until it happens. There’s no room for trying to believe because that interferes the faith you have for him. Ask God for the spirit of obedience & execution!

25:12 - Prayer for shifting our mind, heart & soul to executing instead of trying in all that we do.

    Turnaround Takeaways
    1. Execute not try.
    2. Gods intention for us is to be 120.
    3. Jesus is not in the business of trying.
    4. God needs you to execute.

  • No Delay

“Don’t wait until something happens to praise him.”

In this self reflective yet informative episode, Pastor Tyus dives into being patient, delay vs denial, seeking God with all our heart, and doing works of the spirit. He quotes key scriptures from Jeremiah & Galatians that are ideal for self reflection going into the New Year! If your current life doesn’t reflect the desires you have, use this information to get in alignment with God so that righteousness an overflow enter your life!

2:36 - Without faith it’s impossible to please God. Praise him in advance for who he is and not for what he can do. You don’t need to see the victory to have the victory in your mind.

4:20 - God does not operate on mans time. He has the ability to stand in between time and move mountains according to our faith. Our faith and praise will often determine how long trials & blessings can last or come about.

6:01 - Jeremiah 29:10-14. God talked about having plans to prosper and not harm you. All he requires is that we seek him with all our heart and pray unto him for he is listening. God has provided the blueprint to hearing directly from him. Protect that intimate time with him, because Satan is on the way to try and steal it.

9:10 - 2Peter 3:9. Scripture tells us he wants to prosper us but won’t do so in a manner that can harm us. Our level of obedience is key because that shows God our maturity an control over our life. The more he can trust you, especially through trials, the more he will reveal to you on his timing.

11:32 - Isiah 46:13. His word declares that his righteousness is near and salvation will not be delayed. That should be an encouraging indicator that we are a few decisions away from living in his righteousness along with our desires.

15:34 - Galatians 6:8-10. “Seed, time, then harvest.” If we can understand this principle and commit our actions unto the spirit and not the flesh, the harvest will reap at the right time with overflow! We may not be able to control what happens to us, but we can control the works we do! Make the opportunities count!

21:50 - “Do not miss gods opportunity because we are doing stuff he didn’t tell us to do. I’m doing so we become unavailable to him.”

    Turnaround Takeaways.
⁃ You already have the victory.
⁃ Talk with God, remain patient, and be steadfast!
⁃ There’s no denial. It’s on Gods time, not ours.
⁃ God would rather grow you than break you.
⁃ You will receive the harvest when it’s ordained for you to receive the harvest.
    ⁃ Be Purposeful, not emotional.

  • The Gift of Freedom

In this holiday episode, Dr.Thomas expands upon the ultimate gift - the freedom God wants to grant us. With the world experiencing lots of uncertainty, take the time to enjoy your family this break & not take them granted. Let’s not take the gift of freedom from God for granted either.

6:01 - Why did he give his son? What do you think of when he stated “for God so loved the world?” God has loved us before we were formed and has provided a way out for when trouble arose.

10:50 - Isiah 9:6. Believe that all world problems is on God’s shoulder to solve. He gave his son to fix the world of Satans devices that can keep us bound longer than we desire. He wants to be our Lord and Savior, but we must submit an accept that first. He wants us to be free and not under control of sin, or things we can’t change (generational curses, family issues etc..).

18:06 - Galatians 5:1 states, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” In order to stand firm we must trust in gift of freedom. Sin is pleasurable but the wages of it is death. It’s hard to have faith when yoked in sin.

27:49 - Galatians 5:13 states, You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. After accepting the gift from God, the work does not stop there. We are called to do the work of the kingdom moving forward. Indulging in the flesh opens the door for sin and bondage to enter.

    Discussion Questions & Takeaways

    1. What areas in your life are you not free?
    2. What areas do the devil still access to?
    3. Sin alienates you from God.
    4. John 8:32 - and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you FREE.

  • Overflow

Do the problems of life have more of your focus than planting seeds & operating in the Lords work to reap great harvests? In today’s episode, Associste Pastor T.J. Tyus breaks down the importance of sowing good seeds, practicing Godly habits, and ways to build a relationship with the Lord. Operating in that takes great courage and focus because Satan will try his best to stop you from doing so. Put on the full armor of God daily by immersing yourself in his word followed by actions.

4:01 - In Jeremiah 29:11, God states “For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” God’s ways and thoughts are better than ours. We often want to see his glory without fully submitting. Our focus needs to be in alignment with him.

7:15 - “My overflow is dependent upon my practice.” What habits do you practice on a daily basis? Do the good ones outweigh the bad?

8:30 - How does the conversations and responses to trails reflect your standing with God? Do you still praise despite hardships you currently experience?

12:05 - Your gift that’s sown will return to you in full. His word doesn’t say when, but does guarantee it will. We must add to the seed (doing our part) being sowed before God can multiply it. Remember that tares can be sowed an returned as well.

18:58 - the harvest is ripe and plenty, but the laborers are few. There is no time for murmuring when work needs to be done. With laborers being few, opportunities are presented to receive harvest for doing the work of the kingdom.

  • A Good Shepherd

Rejoice and be glad in the day the Lord has made! In this informative leadership episode, Dr. Thomas speaks on the purpose and role of the ultimate shepherd. The scriptural text stems from the book of Psalms chapter 23. If you are a leader, be prepared to walk away knowing what a leader of households and sheep provide on a consistent basis. Plus, knowing how to outweigh the shadows of death with better decision making.

Turnaround Takeaways 1. With a good shepherd you shall not want. Cups should be overflowing from the environments you created. Just like the lord has done for us with green pastures. 2. Although you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, with a good shepherd, it’s a different valley. Instead of focusing on the problem at hand, lessons such as patience & perseverance can be gained for future trials that will come your way. James 1:4 states, “Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

  • Receipts

If you didn’t have a voice, would you still praise God with your hands, feet, arms & body language? In today’s episode of showing receipts, Associate Pastor T.J. Tyus breaks down the necessity to praise and follow God, along with reading and doing his word. Despite where we are currently in life, he calls us to be a faithful an obedient servant. Pastor T.J. Takes us through scriptural text from James and the life of Job to exemplify the importance of following and being in order with God.

3:15 - Are you in a position to praise? Is your mind wired to praise him no matter what happens in your life?

7:00 - Sometimes You get what you pay for, and not what you pray for. This brings about the concept of reaping what you sow. Which can be nothing if no work has been put in. Faith without works are dead. Grace is a gift from God, but we can’t depend upon that every time. At some point we must take accountability.

8:59 - Where’s your proof that you’re ready? Obedience is the price that must be paid. Can you show “receipts” for the claims you’re making?

11:15 - Luke 11:28 states “Blessed are those that hear the word of God an obey it.” We can’t hear the word of God if we aren’t in position to hear the word.

16:30 - “It’s not so much about what comes from you, as it is what comes from your obedience to him.” Producing is not what fully makes you obedient to him. Being obedient isn’t always found in tangible results. His word says well done faithful servant, not productive servants.

18:20 - God will test you based off of what you said to him. A trial will surely come your way for the “receipts” of your words. Job’s life is a perfect example of that. His faith was surely in God to the fullest but was still tested despite his profound obedience. Faith is a requisite to pass the test.

20:40 - James 1:22-25 states we should not listen to the word, but partake in it. There are blessings from the Lord by hearing and doing his word. Failure to do so allows deceptions to enter the door working to keep us stagnant. We must be steadfast on staying in order with him.

26:37 - Without faith it’s impossible to please God, because nobody obeys someone they don’t trust. Do you trust God?

30:15 - Is your faith complete? Do you have the trust, obedience, and steadfast of learning and doing the word in your Arsenal?

  • What are you God Values Pt. 2

“Self worth is what we think feel and believe about ourselves.”

Today is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!  Today is another opportunity to be great in what He has called us to do. In Part Two of this series, Dr.Thomas speaks emphatically on knowing who we are in Christ. It’s the vital foundation we need in order to walk in the purpose that God has for our life. Satans job is to blind, destroy, or delay our calling from God through sin an evil spirits. Spend intentional time studying and reflecting on who God has truly called you to be.

⁃ 2:25. Don’t put your trust in the day but rather who made the day. That mindset can change our mind on how we encounter problems throughout the day.
⁃ 5:08. How do you sustain your life in Christ?
⁃ 8:20. Do not focus on circumstances! Immerse yourself in doing Gods work. We all have the urge to operate in a “victim”mentality, but we must fight that with prayer supplemented with actions in purpose.
⁃ 11:50. Walk in your flow state of your life. Flow state is the mental state in which a person performing some activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement
⁃ 18:43. Mathew 5:13-14 tells us we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. It also tells us we can lose our flavor and not stand out. Which side we stand on depends on our choice to operate with or without him.
⁃ 25:22. Operate in the spirit of God allowing yourself to be able to do his will for you! Don’t fixate your mind watching others actions, which does nothing but take away from your calling. Stay focused!

    Seven Takeaways
    1. Identify and challenge your negative self beliefs.
    2. Identify the positives about you.
    3. Build positive relationships, not negative ones.
    4. Give yourself a break.
    5. Become more assertive and learn to say no.
    6. Improve your physical health.
    7. Take on the challenges!
