In the closing weeks of the season, the Texas Longhorns' baseball and softball teams are positioning themselves well for the postseason.
Baseball swept yet another top-10 team, building on a narrow Thursday win and ending the weekend with a run-rule victory over the Auburn Tigers. At this point, they are positioning themselves to be the top seed in the SEC Tournament and beyond.
The softball team may have dropped one game, but the bats were live, while the pitching managed to do enough to suppress the bats of the LSU Tigers. Texas needs to finish the regular season strong to keep their rivals from taking the regular season title.
