June 29, 2023 REPRISE: Are You Satisfiable?
In this episode, Shanti grieves the loss of a friend while Antoinette realizes she lives in a social bubble. Together, we single handily disprove Dr. Umar's theory that White women marry up in interracial marriages, discuss genetically modified mosquitoes and some pop culture. For our main topic, we are inspired by a conversation between Adrienne Maree Brown + Jocelyn K. Glei, we ask: Are you satsifiable? Do you know what it is like to have enough? Join us....

June 26, 2023 REPRISE: Not All Black Art Slaps ft. Jade + X.D.
Chile, we needed a break from publicly deep-diving into soul work and decided to chop it up with our faves Jade and XD because Black joy is also an act of resistance and self-preservation. June 15, 2023 Ep 270. Koreans Fry The Best Chicken?
This is our last episode before we go on a 2-week hiatus and we intend to go out with a bang! Shanti pours herself a drank (or 3) while Antoinette takes an edible before the chaos begins...

The episode starts seriously with Antoinette sharing her frustrations about the men she is attracting (Shanti does her best to keep it together to console her). Things begin to unravel while listening to voicemails and the real shenanigans begin with us trying to figure out who knows the other better. We end with a deep discussion on which culture fries the best chicken. Join us...

June 12, 2023 Ep 269. It's Giving Jail...
In this week's episode, Shanti returns after completing The Roots Picnic Marketplace in Philly feeling thankful and proud. Antoinette shares her own experience at the festival with stories of her appreciation of Usher, Jazmine, Armani, being high, and catching a potential suitor red-handed. Together, we discuss the origins of Pride month, Trump's most recent indictment, Dr. Cornel West running for President, wildfires, and Kelis dating Bill Murray. Does Antoinette recant her infamous opinion about Usher + JT in a Verzuz?? Does Shanti think Bill Murray is a hot catch!? Join us...

June 08, 2023Ep 268. You Are the Only Person That Will Never Leave You ft. Ashley Simpo
This week, Shanti is still on hiatus, BUT Antoinette holds down the fort by responding to some listener voicemails and giving us some personal updates. She is then joined by writer, editor, mother, and all-around dope human, Ashley Simpo aka "Black Ashley". Together, they discuss the below affirmations/prompts written by Ashley from her social media:
"Stay curious about the people you love."
"You don't need closure with them. You need closure with the version of yourself that loved them."
"Platonic love, romantic love. It's all building community."
"I just want Black women to be properly loved."
"The older I get, the more I feel self-love is the answer to everything."

June 01, 2023 Ep 266. Are You Living A Creative Life?
For this week's episode, Antoinette laments that her cat Blue may have disowned her while Shanti wants to know what the listeners' top 5 rapid questions would be to get to know a stranger.

For the main topic, Shanti has recently been inspired by the work of authors Elizabeth Gilbert (Eat, Pray, Love + Big Magic) + Julia Cameron (The Artist's Way). Each author focuses on creativity and the transformation that can occur when we take up the courage to unblock, release fear and invite more creativity and curiosity into our lives. Join us.
