My good friend Shaun McCloskey does a workshop once a year called the Business Vision Workshop. I've heard Shaun teach this stuff a million times, but it's always good to be reminded of these things and to really think about what kind of business do I want, what kind of life do I want, right? One of the coolest exercises they do in this workshop is sit down and think about what your dream day would look like. If you’re only doing what you love and money doesn't matter, what would your dream job look like? It’s an exercise in designing what you ultimately want your business and personal life to look like. Some people want to travel the world with their families; others want a fancy car and a nice house. Whatever it is, work backwards and figure out how many deals and how much money it would take to get there.
