Author & entrepreneur, Penny Power OBE

Penny is a UK entrepreneur, international public speaker, author, and community builder. She is the mother of three adult children and has been married to Thomas Power for 32 years. Penny believes in "community-led growth" and has always approached business in a highly personal way. Her latest book, Business Is Personal, has helped thousands of business owners find success and happiness in their work.

In 2014, Penny was awarded an OBE by the Queen for her "contribution to entrepreneurs through the power of community." This recognition was in part due to the work that she and her husband, Thomas, did to bring community to business owners in 1998, before LinkedIn and Facebook (which followed four and six years later). The platform they co-founded, Ecademy, grew to include 650,000 members across 52 countries. Since then, Penny and Thomas have dedicated their lives to working with business owners and promoting community values.
