In May 2017, Kendrex White approached a group of fellow University of Texas students, carrying a large Bowie knife. He stabbed four students, killing Harrison Brown. The reason behind the attack makes this case even more heartbreaking.

In August 2016, Geneva Gomez went to stay with her mother after a breakup. Two days later, her ex-boyfriend found her splayed out on her mother’s floor, as though she’d been crucified. In October 2009, Kimberly Cates and her daughter Jaimie were sleeping peacefully in the master bedroom of their family’s remote New Hampshire home.
