Bad Queers

We are talking all things polyamory with our special guests Small World Collective! This episode is the best how it started vs. how it's going. From who does the everyday tasks to the stereotypes around being black and non-monogamous, you won't want to miss this conversation. Also, Chicago queer life, cliterference, strap and our Bad Queer Opinions.

The queen has arrived. Shelli Nicole joined us this week for Bad Queers. You've definitely read her amazing works in Autostraddle, Marie Claire and more (and if you haven't, you should!). We covered so many topics, but high key summary includes pop culture, writing gems for black LGBTQ+ people, "those" white queers and what would be on our sex playlist.

It's big switch appreciation week (not really, but it should be!)! Baby Gay celebrities are taking over in the best ways. Who invited The Weeknd to the Superbowl? Can't say that we are surprised but Lovecraft Country and all LGBTQ+/Black films deserve better than these Not So Golden Globe nominations. At least the NAACP did a bit better. Also, are you a straight chaser?

Shana -  Ria @they.them.ri nonbinary content creator who is working to empower more people in the community and educate others on how to live authentically themselves

Kris - Jamal Jordan, Author of Queer Love in Color. Pre order now - Out on May 4th - photographic celebration of the love and relationships of queer people of color

Let's get loud about our predictions for the election. Honestly, we called it. From Lady Gaga to Kamala Harris to J-Lo's setlist. Unfortunately, snitch Mitch and Trump make an appearance too. Banning conversion therapy in Kentucky, trans youth rights in Montana and how LGBTQ+ meme pages need more diversity. And Kris tries to get Shana in her feelings around dating.

Shoutouts:
Shana - United States vs. Billie Holiday film that is about to come out.  The film follows Holiday during her career as she is targeted by the Federal Department of Narcotics with an undercover sting operation led by black Federal Agent Jimmy Fletcher, with whom she had a tumultuous affair.
