It's just a word. Restriction. Yet it leaves a sour taste in the mouths of so many of us. Maybe we should blame our parents!
What's the difference between a restriction and a boundary?
This week Mel & Kel consider the meaning of each word and what it stirs up emotionally. When we feel "restricted," it is because there's a thought causing it.
"I can't have that brownie. I'm on a restrictive diet."
"I must get up at 6:00, or I'll be late for work. I wish I were my own boss."
Yet the "boundaries" we set don't create the same feeling. Why is that? It's worth discussing, so tune in.
