Happy Thanksgiving, Betch. This week, Aleen, Jordana, and Sami share their plans for the holiday and compare notes on festive dishes. Are Brussels sprouts a millennial vegetable, and is that why they’re not as trendy as they used to be? Sami and Aleen explain to Jordana why everyone this past weekend was “holding space” for the lyrics of Defining Gravity, and why the Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo press tour has been the inspiration for countless memes. This episode was recorded on Monday, so come back next week for their thoughts on the film. In the meantime, Aleen finally rewatched the original Gladiator, and it did make her cry. This week, Sami shares some dog updates with Aleen and Jordana, before they get into the stories of the week. First up is People's Sexiest Man Alive, John Krasinski, and the DeuxMoi blind item that has people second guessing his crowning. Did Glen Powell and Pedro Pascal actually turn it down, or is that just what their publicists want us to think? Wicked is almost in theaters, and Sami heard a rumor it's the best movie musical since Chicago... Meanwhile, Mattel had to apologize after accidentally linking to a porn site on its Wicked doll packaging. Next up, fellow podcaster Armie Hammer had his mother on the show, who shared that she got him a vasectomy for his birthday last year to make sure there wouldn't be any more little Hammers running around. Usually our moms just take us to dinner, but to each their own. Then, they send congrats to Megan Fox on her pregnancy and speculate on Khloé's mysterious new business venture. Gisele Bündchen and her Jiu-Jitsu instructor/boyfriend are expecting their first child together, and Tom Brady might be feeling kind of emo about it, if his IG stories are any indication. Nick Cannon opened up about feeling insecure during his marriage to “Alpha” Mariah Carey, which leads to a conversation about relationship dynamics within successful couples. Jordana and Aleen share their thoughts on A Friend Of The Family, streaming on Peacock (true crime counts for Halloween, right?). Then, a game of Ick or Treat with five pop culture moments from the week, from Ariana Grande’s bf on the cover of GQ to Kim’s birthday post for Caitlyn. Next, the Betches Canceled Plans issue is officially live, and they discuss the joys of both canceling and getting canceled on. Onto the pop culture headlines, Kylie is on the November cover of Elle, but Jordana’s more concerned with Wicked’s marketing team’s decision to host a special screening for the Kardashian-Jenner kids. In other news, what’s going on with Justin Bieber’s finances? We’ll be keeping an eye out for a potential future lawsuit. Then, much as it pains Jordana and Sami to discuss this without Aleen, J Lo’s ex-husband Ojani Noa went on TV this week and blamed Diddy for their divorce. Honestly, we just want a deep dive documentary on what really happened during the two years J Lo and Diddy dated. And at long last, Jordana and Sami share their long-awaited thoughts on It Ends With Us. Finally, they decide which celeb of the week they are sharing a cider with, sponsored by Angry Orchard Hard Cider.
