In this episode of Beyond The Pitch, Juan is joined by New York Times writer and author Tariq Panja. He comes to give us a better idea of the aftermath of last week’s FIFA Council meeting in Kigali. Tariq will delve into the battles brewing within football’s most powerful individuals in the coming months as well as the positions that all sides are taking as the future of football could be at stake.

Tariq talks about the compromise that FIFA president Gianni Infantino had to make with regards to his Club World Cup idea.

He also talks about the reasons why FIFA will not approve the Girona- Barcelona match in Miami in January and what are the options that Javier Tebas and Relevent have going towards the future. What are his thoughts on the possibility of this going to CAS and the probability of this match taking place now.

Obviously, the most important thing out of all of this is how does leave Infantino as he prepares for
