For this weeks episode we are joined by @saronnn.n and @abigailbelachew two healthcare workers who were trapped in the Flemington high-rise towers, during the “hard lockdown” enforced by the Victorian state government earlier this week.
From the words of residents themselves we uncover the disaster that was this targeted lockdown. This was an example of racism in Australia. Class and race intersected in this case as ethnic minorities were systematically discriminated against by the state government. Please tune in, it is crucial that we share this information and highlight the injustices experienced by the residents.
