The author was working as a veterinarian. She was asked to give a talk about her profession at her daughter’s school. She shared this story with the children.

An ambulance was on its way to pick up a very sick patient when… suddenly out of nowhere a cat runs across the road in front of the speeding ambulance! The driver hits the brakes but unfortunately hit the cat! Thinking quickly, the paramedic jumped out of the ambulance, bundled the cat into the ambulance, and raced to the nearest vet clinic. Will his life be saved?

The anonymous cat was transported by ambulance to the vet clinic. He undergoes veterinary treatment and surgery. He recovers and finds a wonderful new home with the paramedic. 

When the author finished telling the story, she was very surprised by the  reactions of the children. They had all sorts of questions about the procedures used to save the life of the cat, now named St. John by the veterinary staff. They wanted to know how you could become a veterinarian. They were so interested and curious, they inspired the author to write the beautifully illustrated book. Her hope is that by sharing the story of ST. The story takes the goose family through many of the same issues that human families face such as safety of their nest, boundaries where young goslings should and should not go, as well as life lessons for the family. The book is a perfect bedtime story book, but also offers many opportunities for teaching young children about nature. Parents and grandparents could expand on the themes about family. The characters lend themselves to art projects. Also exploring the differences between a duck and a goose.

An examination of the timing and nature of the miracles also provides fresh insight into that aspect of the ministry of Jesus.

This is a considerable work of New Testament scholarship, which will surely stimulate Christian scholars and layman in their search for additional truth. The mass of detail and cross referencing should not act as a deterrent to the general Christian reader because the author has taken great care to present his argument and postulations in a coherent and accessible format and style. Regardless whether readers agree or disagree with some or all of the author’s assertions, this work will undoubtedly help some to find new truth.

The subjugation of females followed the concept by ancient humans that because females were smaller and physically weaker than males, they must also be less intelligent and less suitable to lead a collection, a tribe or a nation. 

Big strong aggressive males dominated those collections and the most dominant male chose a female partner for his sexual needs. The most frequent selection was usually a nubile young adolescent who was attractive and athletic but if she failed to please or lost her sexual appeal, she was discarded and the leader then selected one or more young females as a replacement. 

For at least three thousand years, females were considered to be expendable and regularly replaced or renounced if they failed to satisfy a man. Such dramatic events frequently occurred following arranged relationship based on political or financial unions with the male regretting the contract or the female unable to provide sexual satisfaction. 

The book records some of the events, circumstances and tragic incidents that have been recorded as a result of such sexual activity over many centuries.

Most women are attacked because they either leave their guard open or are unaware of the potential dangers; and this allows the attacker to succeed. A man attacking a woman goes against a fundamental rule laid down by nature; which says that because a female is a potential child-bearer, she is vital to the survival of the human race and therefore needs to be protected, respected and cherished. This rule is frequently abused because the modern woman is now much more than a child-bearer; and has become every much as competitive as the modern man. It is this conflict between the sexes that is the main cause of women not being treated with the respect they deserve.

It is still good to be female; if you know how! Most women have an instinctive arsenal of tactics they readily employ to steer themselves through the minefield of a day.
