Welcome to a powerful conversation with Surabhi Veitch, a physiotherapist and mother of two, who is transforming the way we approach women's health, particularly during pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood.
Surabhi Veitch (she/her) aka The Passionate Physio helps folks maximize their pelvic health, strength and pleasure through movement, mindfulness and self-care. Surabhi is trained as an orthopaedic and pelvic physical therapist and pregnancy/postpartum fitness coach, and combines her experience as a mom, immigrant and social justice advocate to provide holistic and trauma-mindful care. She offers 1:1 remote virtual consultations globally, educational workshops as well as mentorship for pelvic health and wellness professionals. Her passions include dancing, eating plant-based foods, and disrupting toxic generational & societal patterns.
Her revolutionary approach fosters a greater sense of self-efficacy and trust among her clients and encourages them to take charge of their own healing journey.
This episode takes an all-encompassing view of women's health, and the physical, mental, and emotional tolls brought about by motherhood. Debunking societal norms, advocating for self-acceptance, the role of joy in parenting, and the importance of truly caring for one's self.
Our dialogue continues as we address the significance of community in motherhood, and the trials of juggling two cultures. We engage in an introspective examination of the role of privilege, the necessity of unlearning systemic biases, and the importance of self-care in motherhood.
