May is Brain Tumour Awareness Month so in this season we bring you some stories focused on brain tumours with medical experts, the survivors and those we have sadly lost.
Dr Taffy, Ire;ands 1st Female Paediatric Neurosurgeon is our first guest this season.
A mother of 3 we talk openly about why she is so committed to her work, to her patients and to fighting childhood cancer.
We talk about the intensity of surgery, the team around her, how she has had to learn when to detach from emotion to become super focused on her skills as a surgeon while allowing her playful spirit to connect with the children under her care.
We would like to thank Dr. Taffy and all at Children's Health Ireland at Temple Street for their time and the amazing life saving work she does.
