Josh shares how he transitioned from working as a doctor of physical therapy into building Hunks of Metal, a business focused on custom jewelry and metal hardware for the kink and leather community. Rooted in a fifth-generation family tradition of metalworking, his approach blends old-world craftsmanship with modern design tools like 3D modeling and casting. Rather than mass-producing generic pieces, he creates sculpted hardware featuring masculine relief figures, mythological inspiration, floral motifs, and highly personal elements that can transform a standard harness into something entirely unique. As Tim points out, many people do not realize they can upgrade or swap out their existing harness hardware to completely reinvent the look without purchasing an entirely new piece.
