Then, they re-air their conversation with Seahawks head coach Mike macdonald about training camp so far, what he's still learning as a coach, Sam Darnold and plenty more.
Shannon Drayer joins Brock and Salk to discuss Eugenio Suarez surprising the M's players by boarding the team plane at the last minute after he was traded last night. Then, Mike Macdonald joins the show to discuss training camp, defensive expectations for year two, establishing the new offense and who has stood out so far.
Brock and Salk look through the Mariners new lineup with Eugenio Suarez and compare it to other AL offenses. They then discuss that the trades that the Mariners have made at the deadline and are emphatic on this being the exact reason why the Mariners rebuilt, so they are fully able to make trades like this.
Eugenio Suarez returning to Seattle is so exciting, and Brock and Salk talk about how this shows that the Mariners are very serious about 2025. They also tie the Suarez trade back to Cal Raleigh's conversation that he had with the front office in Spring Training about a committment to winning and how this lives up to the team's word.
