We continue our countdown of the most intriguing Seahawks with Dre Jones coming in at number 9. Then, we react to Jeff Passan's comments on the Mariners moves so far and what moves can still be made before the deadline. Plus, we have a Justin Turner themed Ranked.
Salk gives his observations on a big day for the defense as the Seahawks put on pads for the first time this training camp. Then, Jeff Passan joins us to discuss what he likes about the Mariners trades so far, why Randy Arozarena is special, who is still available that's a fit and why bullpen help is pricey right now.
It's the trade deadline today. The M's traded for a couple of bats that had been hot in recent weeks in Arozarena and Turner but they haven't given up much as far as prospects. We expect them to pull something else off but it doesn't look like some of the bigger names like Vlad Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette are available. Then, Seahawks tackle Charles Cross joins the show to discuss the differences he notices in his second season, how he switched up his training, domniating in yesterday's one on one drills, and what he likes about Ryan Grubb's offense.
It feels like the Red Sox are still hitting doubles. That was a tough watch last night but hopefully just one of those weird nights in a unique ballpark. Then, Salk discusses the M's loss, the acquisition of Justin Turner and the defense dominating in the Seahawks first padded practice in Need to Know. Plus, we revisit our interview with Albert Breer from training camp yesterday.
We continue our countdown of the most intriguing Seahawks with QB Geno Smith at number 10. Then, Albert Breer of MMQb joins us live from Seahawks practice to discuss what he's looking for and what he saw from their NFC West rivals on his travels so far.
Randy Arozarena brings a swag and attitude that it seems like the M's needed but he also brings playoff experience and expectations. Brock and Salk discuss how important that is. Then, Brady Henderson posted a story this weekend about Mike Macdonald making players come back out and sign autographs and overhearing a player say "Mike doesn't play." We discuss this big difference in approach between Macdonald and Carroll. Plus, what moves could the M's still make?
The Mariners had an infusion of energy over the weekend. They made some good moves with Arozarena and Diaz but they still need more. We discuss who the guys like. Then, George Fant joins the show to discuss his return to Seattle, his thoughts on this young O-line and new coaches and his nervousness before his first padded practice one on ones. Plus, Brock answers three football questions in Blue 88.
Brock and Salk continue their countdown of the most intriguing Seahawks with a coach at number eleven. Then, we take your calls on the Randy Arozarena trade and Salks gives us his top five bats he would still like the M's to go after.
Are the M's done after the Randy Arozarena trade? Brock and Salk discuss that and Gee Scott stops by to discuss his new podcast, 'The Reset' and what he's seen at Seahawks training camp.
