Brock and Salk

Salk opens the show with some of the reaction he saw yesterday after the Jerry Dipoto Show accusing Jerry of sitting on his hands while the team struggles and focusing on the draft, but Salk says that's his job. We revisit yesterday's Dipoto show.

We react to Jerry Dipoto saying that if they can't get guys to hit high spin pitches, they'll find guys who can. We also discuss his comments on people wanting to see more anger and fire from the coaches and players. Then, Brock tells a story of training mistakes he made and asks should the M's focus on their strengths or shore up their weaknesses when it comes to fixing offense? Plus, Justin and Salk have a Ranked themed around the M's hitting a new low.

Salk argues that the biggest problem with the Mariners right now is not a systemic issue that runs across the organization, it is purely the offense and their swing decisions. We open the phone lines for Seattle Sports fans to express their frustration with the team before Brock's Blue 88.

Another ugly game as the Mariners lose 4-1 to a struggling Nationals team at home and lose the series in the process. Salk believes the problem is acute and directly pointed at the offense. We revisit the conversation with Kraken HC Dave Hakstol.

We heard Scott Servais describe the team's play in a win this weekend as selfless and it implies that maybe there have been times when they've played selfish. Were the M's at bats in the tenth last night selfish? Then, we react to Bucky Brooks saying the Seahawks are recreating the Beast Mode era with their three running backs. Plus, Justin and Salk have a beautiful Ranked for you.

Salk gets going on a rant after last night's "despicable" loss and is convinced 3 corpses could have scored a run in the 10th inning. Cal Raleigh says the Mariners are "not a good baseball team right now." The NHL Draft starts tonight w/ the Kraken holding the 20th pick. We revisit the conversation with ESPN's Jeff Passan.

We discuss the best mustache on the Mariners, whether the Seahawks got robbed of the rookie of the year trifecta, if the Jets on Hard Knocks would be must watch TV and more in Buy or Sell. Then, Brock and Salk ask whether the M's should consider trading for Carlos Santana again and Justin and Salk bring you a fishy edition of Ranked.
