Pete seemed pretty darn confident that they have something for the Niners. Salk thinks maybe it's because they're the only team to keep them to 21 or fewer points in their last six games, but this is such a different feeling for a Seahawks playoff team because Salk says it doesn’t feel like any of the previous versions. Brock's 'Blue 88' answers which Seahawk played one of his best games of the season, who were the two Seahawks Coach Carroll compared and said were the same guy offensively and defensively and what he saw watching Georgia's Jalen Carter.

After last night's massive CFB Championship blowout Salk asks if it matters how much your fanbase cares? How do they affect the outcome of games, a franchise, or culture? It seems more possible in college, but how can pro fans affect their team best? Accountability? Unbridled support? Noise? The Kraken dominated Toronto and Montreal the last few nights and we know a Canadian team hasn’t won the cup in forever. We revisit yesterday's Pete Carroll Show.

Brock and Salk discuss the latest updates in the NFL coaching world, with Kliff Kingsbury and Lovie Smith being fired and the Broncos interviewing a number of candidates. Then, Pete Carroll joins Brock and Salk to discuss yesterday's big win and cheering on the Lions. Salk says the conversation today would have been much different if the Seahawks lost because the questions surrounding what happens next at QB are coming. The Mariners sign OF AJ Pollock to a one-year, $7m deal and that could mean the conversation about Bryan Reynolds is over. Brock & Salk share a plethora of Takeaways from the game and note how effective the run game (197 yards) was and how they were able to pressure Mayfield.

Brock & Salk believe the Seahawks are here because they made a smart bet about the NFC's aging QBs and Salk says that’s why they didn’t tank or rebuild; they just put the best product out there they could knowing that the conference was up for grabs. Salk eats (a lot) more crow about his previous week's prediction(s) before Brock's Blue 88 answers: how big of a deal is the drop from 3rd to 5th in the draft? What was the Seahawks strategy burning timeouts and running three consecutive times from inside 2 yard line? Geno’s game was ___?

Yesterday was a very wild ride in the NFL with the amount of things that went wrong for the Seahawks in the first half of the day, but Salk is happy to eat crow over his comments from last week about how the Lions had "0.0% chance" to beat the Packers at home. Salk opens the phones for fans to answer the question: Why are the Seahawks in the playoffs?
