What are things like in Denver this morning? Who is on the chopping block? We invite D-Mac from our sister station in Denver to discuss the state of the Broncos and they are not holding back on how things are unfolding with Russell Wilson. With the Mariners season officially in the rear-view and now a huge offseason ahead with a lot of questions to ask, Brock & Salk are joined by Mariners beat reporter Ryan Divish (Seattle Times) who shares his insights on the team.

The conversation around Russell continues with the ultimate conclusion that Pete Carroll was the maestro and knew how to put him in the best ways to succeed and Nathaniel Hackett will likely be the sacrificial lamb. Salk asks Brock about what went right for the Mariners and what went wrong for them in the 2022 season. Surprisingly, they had a LOT go wrong. Brock's 'Blue 88' answers what does Pete really think of Kenneth Walker and what (or who) has been key to Woolen and Bryant’s development?

Salk starts the show a little more chipper than usual and can't help himself after the Broncos lose again, this time on Prime Time MNF vs. the Chargers and Russell looks terrible again. We play some sound out of Denver from yesterday's postgame show of angry Broncos fans who called into their postgame show to complain and call for firings. We revisit the Pete Carroll Show to get insight on how Pete views Geno's play, performance of the rookies & his subtle jab at Kenneth Walker III.

M's insider Shannon Drayer joins Brock and Salk to share what the clubhouse was like after that 18 inning marathon and reflect on an incredible season. Then, it's The Pete Carroll Show! Carroll discusses the improvements on defense yesterday, the impressive showing by the rookies, the need to clean up their red zone efforts and how closely he will be watching the Chargers Broncos game.

Salk shares his impressions from the Mariners clubhouse after Saturday's loss and said there was a lot of tears, hugs, and even some apologies from players and coaches which Salk thinks is rare. Brock & Salk decide to do a split version of 'Takeaways' with both Mariners and Seahawks moments, but cannot believe how well the rookies have performed - notably Tariq Woolen - and Salk is blown away by legitimately considering signing Geno Smith to an extension.

Of all the big moments of the long, drought-ending Mariners season, Salk thinks there are 4 major things the team accomplished that deserve to be recognized the most: 1- Baseball became a real thing in Seattle again. 2- The rebuild is over and it’s now full on competition. 3- They created a family. 4- They have some legit dudes who got the experience they need. Brock's 'Blue 88' covers: who would you rather have as your QB for the next 11 games: Jimmy G, Kyler, Stafford or Geno? Who is Kenneth Walker's identity, and how is Woolen doing this?!

The Seahawks got a big W against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, but the magical Mariners season has officially come to a close for 2022. Salk says he Mariners are officially "done" rebuilding and wants the team's new slogan to be #GoodToGreat in 2023. The 18-inning marathon showed exactly what the Mariners biggest weakness was the entire season: a lack of offense. We go to the phones to hear Mariners fans answer the question: What would you tell this team going into the offseason?

Shannon Drayer joins Mike Salk fresh off the trip to Houston. She discusses why the M's are down two, what she expects from George Kirby tomorrow, if we will see Servais use more of the bullpen moving forward, and whether there was a play to be made on the Pena single or not. Then, we discuss what tomorrow's home playoff game will be like and Justin and Salk have more dad jokes and music for you in Ranked.

Joe Fann makes his weekly appearance to discuss what he saw as the main reasons for why the Mariners are 0-2, but the main points is the Yordan Alvarez effect and some little pieces of bad luck for the Mariners. The M's gave the Astros everything they could handle but have nothing to show for it. Friday is for Gee Scott and Salk wants to know what's going on with Justin Fields in Chicago, Russell in Denver and how he sees the Mariners in the postseason.

Brock says he's really proud of this M's team and compared them to the 2012 Seahawks who were close but not quite ready to go to the Super Bowl but Salk doesn't want to hear it because it's not over yet and he's not ready to count this team out. Brock wonders if the home playoff game will be attractive to future free agents. In Brock's Blue 88 he answers what could eventually precipitate a defensive scheme change for SEA? Why will AZ be one of the great tests yet for Geno and his sustainability, and do the Cougs and Huskies get back on track this weekend?
