Sam Darnold tweaked his oblique in practice on Thursday and Salk reacts to the injury to open the show, along with some quick thoughts on Fred Warner, Kyle Tucker and the Kraken. Then, they re-air their conversation with Colin Cowherd of FOX Sports in which he shares his praise for Sam Darnold, why he likes the Seahawks and much more.
Brock and Salk react to what Colin Cowherd said to them about the Seahawks being a B+ team across the board and how he believed a lot of the Patriots Super Bowl teams were the same way. Do they agree with that? They discuss. Afterwards, they react to a bunch of sound across the station from Kurt Warner, Jeff Saturday and others.
The hour starts with a bunch of listener voicemails for Here's The Thing. Afterwards, Brock and Salk bring on Colin Cowherd of FOX Sports to join the show to share why he believes in Sam Darnold, what he likes about this Seahawks team and more. Later, they listen to some sound from Mariners GM Justin Hollander and discuss how much the Mariners may rely on their young players in 2026.
Brock and Salk react to some sound from Fred Warner's press conference and start to wonder and worry if he has a chance to play against the Seahawks on Saturday. Then, Tom Rinaldi of FOX Sports joins the show to listen to him tell the story of the Seahawks and 49ers rivalry along with hearing what he'll be watching for in Saturday's matchup. In Blue 88, Brock Huard dives in on the 49ers red zone struggles against the Seahawks, how are Brock and Steve Young on the same page about the 49ers chances and another critical number to track on Saturday.
Salk continues to laugh at Dov Kleiman to open the show and also further reacts to all of the trash talk between the Seahawks and 49ers. Then, they re-air their conversation with Joel Klatt of FOX Sports in which they discuss the upcoming Seahawks playoff game, the Seahawks defense, Sam Darnold and more.
A couple of Seahawks have talked some trash about the 49ers over the last couple of days, and Brock and Salk discuss if there's any concern to them doing so. They also discuss if the Mariners offseason is over at this point or if they still have one more impact move up their sleeve, and some potential names for who that move could be for. They wrap up the show with Trash Takes.
The hour starts with a late Blue 88, with topics including what NFL Wild Card viewership tells us about the league, its brands and windows, what Brock has been reminded of this week doing radio hits in other markets and ranking confidence level in remaining NFL head coaches in the playoffs. Afterwards, Brock and Salk each rank the eight QB's remaining in the NFL Playoffs and their reasoning behind it and debate each other's lists.
