SeaFM’s Lift The Lid Bianca, Ben, and Lakey are joined by Dr Jeffrey Long. Jeffrey started his career as a radiation oncologist and “wasn’t a believer” with his scientific background he never believed in the afterlife. After witnessing thousands of “near-death experiences” with his cancer patients he became a believer.  

“When you have a near-death experience you have that life-threatening event, you’re so physically compromised, your unconscious or even clinically dead with no heartbeat. The common, first thing that happens with a near-death experience is what’s called a ‘out of body experience’, consciousness separates from the body, typically rising above the body and from the vantage point they can see ongoing earthling events”.

Over the weekend Ben was down in Sydney for the NRL grand final to watch the Brisbane Broncos and Sydney Panthers go head-to-head with a devastating loss for the Broncos with a final score of 26-24.

While Ben was down there, he did some training and was sparing with some of his footy mates including current Brisbane Dolphins player Jarrod Wallace. Jarrod is also getting in the ring on Saturday but versing his Melbourne Storm rival Nelson Asofa-Solomona.

While Ben and Jarrod were training together, they both went a little too hard and now Ben says, “I feel like I have just gone 10 rounds with Mike Tyson”

On last night’s episode of The Block a lot of drama went down (and not much building TBH). The Block has proven the most explosive season yet with a major feud between contestants Eliza & Liberty and Kristy & Brett and now with Leah & Ash.

Bianca, Ben and Lakey are joined by Kristy and Brett to spill the tea on their Ensuite win last night as well as Scotty Cam’s surprising news of their holiday ALL contestants must go on together. 

Brett says, “I suggested we should carpool together” and his wife Kristy laughs.

In less than two weeks’ time the ‘Polar Bear’ Ben Hannant will be getting in the ring to fight Parramatta Eels prop Junior Paulo for the Battle on the Reef main event fight.

Ben admits he hasn’t been fit in over 12 months but has recently been training hard and getting up at 3am before going on air for the Gold Coast’s SeaFM breakfast show. He says he can’t even lift his arms at the moment.
