90.9 SeaFM love to help the community and with Helping Hand they have lovely Jennifer and Lillian. Jennifer nominated her mum Lillian for Helping Hand as “she is one of the hardest workers I know”. She is a single mum of 6 kids with 4 still at home and a couple of years ago was in a car accident where she had some permeant damage chronic pain and cramps.

Lillian doesn’t stop moving she is up at 1 am for her job and then gets the kids to and from school and activities while living day-to-day with her sole paycheck saying “you’ve just got to soldier on”.

Recently their washing machine has broken adding another task for Lillian to drive to Jennifer’s house to do the washing for the household. Lillian admits that when it broke, she “actually had my arm elbow deep and I was spinning the clothes”.

Gold Coaster Laura Has terminal Liver and Kidney Failure but still continues to Give back and be positive.

Laura reached out on the Facebook page Got your Back Gold Coast for advice on how to plan her end of life celebration. Valissa saw her post and contacted us here at SEAFM.

Seafms Helping Hand then stepped in and Gifted her and her family $1000 thanks To Robina Town Centre and a Choice of animal experiences thanks to Village Road Show. Laura Thanked Bianca, Ben and Lakey for giving her some Great experiences for her family to remember. Her kids Zoe and Lucas were also so excited to come into the SEAFM studios for the morning!

The family are looking forward to spending a day shopping and hanging out together at Robina Town Centre and swimming with the Dolphins at Seaworld!

The final episode of Married At First Sight was everything we ever expected… and more! Bianca, Ben and Lakey have lovely Sandy Jawanda who was matched up with Gold Coast man Dan. Last night Sandy revealed in front of the entire group of contestants and experts that she has been contacted by Dan’s exes. The exes revealed “all sorts of things that he done to them” and his “pattern” with women.

Helping Hand is one of SeaFM’s way of giving back to the community. Gold Coast residents Ashley and her mum Julie join Bianca, Ben and Lakey in the studio for a little surprise.

Ashley and Julie have had a very tough and devastating couple of years, they lost their dad/husband in 2020 to a motorcycle accident. A couple of months later Julie found out she had skin cancer and after getting surgery she “thought she had a clean run”. However, only last year Julie found out she has breast cancer, which means she now has to get a total hip replacement and treatment and radiation for the rest of her life.

Ben has been with his lovely wife Emma for 18 years in June, so he has definitely worked out the ‘ins and outs’ of making Emma happy. This weekend he is going away to Townsville for a footy trip, and he is putting in the work to buy some brownie points with Emma.
