We discuss the importance of having a good session flow when photographing couples. Relying solely on prompts can make the session feel choppy and uncomfortable, and going with the flow of the couple is better for creating a connection....and this process starts long before the actual shoot. They believe this will help create a relaxed atmosphere and make the couple more comfortable, resulting in better photographs.

We discussed how important it is for photographers to focus on telling their couple's story rather than just giving them a pose prompt and expecting them to act it out. The goal should be to show what a day in the life of the couple is like, and that it is possible to capture genuine emotion without relying on posing prompts.
