In this podcast, we talk about the importance of leveraging the polarity of Self-Reliance and Interdependence as a healthcare leader.
We know it’s been three years of COVID-19 and we are now post-pandemic, but we’re still living in a VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) world where we need to be self-reliant and interdependent as we move through these challenging times.
In fact, both are equally important for emerging and evolving healthcare leaders to achieve effective and successful leadership.
In this podcast, we talk about why leveraging the tension between Self-Reliance and Interdependence requires self-awareness and mindful choices.
We also talk about the positive outcomes of Self-Reliance and Interdependence and some of the negative consequences if you over-focus on one to the neglect of the other.

In this second episode of our three-part series, we focus on leveraging Polarity Intelligence™, which is Pillar #2 of our Dynamic Balance EffectTM (DBE) Framework.
Polarity Intelligence applies the “missinglogic” to leverage the unavoidable tensions and challenges impacting your daily life.
The thing is, most healthcare leaders feel these tensions are problems to solve because it’s the only lens they’ve ever known. If you treat them as problems and you don’t realize that you’re experiencing unmanaged polarities, you will realize your greatest fears and end up failing.
In this podcast, we talk about the numerous tensions that act on you and how to identify and leverage them to establish a balanced life.
We also talk about four crux personal polarities and their early warning signs, and negative outcomes if you over-focus on one over the other.

In this first episode of a 3-part series, we focus on making Mindful Choices which is Pillar #1 of our Dynamic Balance Effect™ (DBE) Framework.
Mindful choices as one of the pillars encompasses how to live and choose from the principles or values that ground you in what matters most and provide the guardrails for your life.
But how can you make mindful choices and choose from the principles that guide and ground you? You need to step back, reevaluate, reconnect, and recommit to the most important things to you and the principles that can guide and center you.
In this podcast, we discuss what helps you make mindful choices, what we've learned personally about making mindful choices, and the key learnings we've had with healthcare leaders across the country.
We also talk about the different elements in Pillar #1 and some examples of how they come alive.

Through discussions on leadership development, stress management, conflict resolution, and time management, listeners gain insights into achieving work-life balance, overcoming the struggles of being overworked, and fostering personal growth in the ever-evolving workplace.
In this episode, we talk about the seven reasons to Claim and Share Power and why it's essential for healthcare leaders.
We know most emerging and evolving leaders have been in a time of uncertainty, and they don't know what the "new normal" is as everything seems to be in a constant state of change.
As a result, they go with the flow, waiting for someone to provide direction because they don't feel worthy of their power or feel that exerting their personal power is a career-ending move.
The thing is, no one can give you power because it doesn't come from an external source, and even if there is a power associated with your role or position, it will dissipate over time if you don't claim your own power.
In this podcast, we talk about why it's important to leverage the Claiming and Sharing Power polarity and some of the negative consequences of not leveraging the tools to claim and share power.
We also talk about how your personal and shared power can show up and some of the positive outcomes of leveraging this tension.

In this episode, we talk about leveraging a creator orientation to focus on your current reality and future desired outcome as a healthcare leader.
We know leaders and healthcare organizations have been facing numerous challenges on a daily basis for the past three years.
In fact, the current circumstances are difficult where staffing is terrible, the volume and acuity of patients are high, and there is a lack of seasoned or experienced leaders to learn from.
That’s why putting your attention and orientation on addressing the desired outcomes is critical to achieving sustainable progress and positive outcomes.
The thing is, when you hold a creator orientation and focus on leveraging and learning from the current realities while moving toward future desired outcomes, you will experience more positive outcomes and sustainable progress.
In this podcast, we talk about the importance of leveraging the tension between your current reality and future desired outcomes and some of the negative consequences if you over-focus on one to the neglect of the other.
We also share some personal experiences about leveraging these tensions and what you can learn from them.
