Did you know that the metaphor of a business funnel was coined in 1898? Yes, it's over 120 years old, and it'a about time we start looking at business engagements through more advanced lenses.
Funnels are a great tool to measure linear processes, and hence sales processes, BUT, human relationships and business relationships are NOT a linear process.
And since businesses are driven by relationships, we need a way to measure relationships.
Patrick Woods, CEO of Orbit, developed a way to do that. It is based on measuring the reach and the love of every person within your business community. YES - measuring love.
Patrick shares exactly how they are measuring these parameters, and how does it eventually feed the sales funnel!
Community creation is not just a hype, it is the only way, and the right way to overcome the saturation of digital marketing, and to go from being lead-gen focused to demand-gen focused.
Check out this brilliant interview with Patrick Woods on episode 130 of the Business Growth Accelerator Podcast!

All leaders (in politics AND in business) should be held accountable.
That's why I LOVED the idea of the accountability executive team Sam Rubin told me on our interview.
As entrepreneurs, we all need accountability teams. Teams that will be real with us and honest about our shortcomings.
Business owners who live in their heads and never seek foreign opinion won't survive in the long term because they are too busy thinking about how awesome they are and how genius their plan is.
But business is a game of realism. The sooner we realize it, the better solution and products we will offer.
If you want to learn how to design your own accountability systems, check out my interview with Sam Rubin on episode 128 of the Business Growth Accelerator Show!
Here's what Sam and I covered on the show:
💥 Why The Customer isn't Always Right
💥 How To Build A Great Company Culture
💥 The Value Of Solving Hidden Problems
💥 And so much MORE!

The BEST way to build trust with your customers is to share your story.
Your PERSONAL story is your competitive advantage.
Nobody can copy what you have experienced. Nobody can conjure up your stories.
And, trust me, customers love authentic stories.
What I'm talking about here is called the "Founder Brand" strategy. It's a new kind of marketing framework that uses the founder's (or the CEO's) unique experiences as leverage to grow sales, relationships, and company well-being.
The 5 Benefits of Leveraging your company's "Founder Brand"
Based Dave Gerhardt book and our experience with our clients:

AI will change everything... or not.
All of that talk about AI ending/changing the world is ridiculous, stupid, and unnecessary.
But the conspiracy theorists and futurists got one thing right: Some people should be afraid of AI.
But not the people you think.
The only group of humans who should be afraid of AI are the mediocre content creators/entrepreneurs plaguing Social Media and Google.
Because, unlike now, you wouldn't be able to cheat the algorithm with mediocre content and controversy.
What do you think? Will AI change the game for content creators, or is it just a nice addition to humanity's tech toolkit?
Let me know!

If you are a B2B company, not using LinkedIn is KILLING your growth potential.
Here's why:
Facebook is great but no business will ever share important information on it (such as profiles of key figures, gatekeepers, and investors). The case is the same for Instagram and Twitter.
LinkedIn, on the other hand, was SPECIFICALLY made for the business world (and the majority of its members are not assholes, like on Twitter!)
And it's just now beginning to tap into its hidden content creation potential.
Now is the time to create fortunes and make an impact on the platform.
If you want to achieve both of those things on LinkedIn, check out episode 125 of the Business Growth Accelerator Show where I had the pleasure to interview world-class audience growth director, Dan Sanchez!
Here's what Dan and I covered on the show:
💥 Why LinkedIn is The BEST Social Media Platform
💥 How To Build Relationships With Thought Leaders
💥 How to Beat The LI Algorithm

Middle managers get way too much hate for no reason. But it's no surprise.
Nowadays, everybody is obsessed with removing the middlemen from business, management, organizations, and life in general.
But, as my dear friend Sanjiv reveals how middle managers can be an incredible asset to your company.
Unfortunately, another problem arises: How can you make sure that you don't keep creating new layers of middle managers so that in the end you're not left with a huge pile of bureaucracy and slow progress?
Well if you want to learn how to avoid that, I suggest listening to my full interview with Sanjiv Augustine on the 124th episode of the Business Growth Accelerator show!

"Sales are not mathematics. Just because you have a lot of leads doesn't mean that you'll have a lot of deals.
The key to making the most of your deals is to forget about quantity and focus on quality.
Which one would you rather have: 6,000 leads and 20 deals OR 100 leads and 30 deals?
If it's the latter, listen to my interview with Amanda Holmes (yes, THE Amanda Holmes) on episode 122 of the Business Growth Accelerator show!
Here's what Amanda and I covered on the show:
💥 The hidden power behind having fewer leads
💥Why Your Audience Hates Being Sold To
💥Why People Rely More On Social Media Than Sales People

Mid-sized businesses have it the hardest. They are at the center of adaptability and capital. A place very hard to escape.
That being said, capital and adaptability are useless if they aren't complemented with stage-giving (fans, platforms, social blog, category) and other related business drivers.
Being The Stage is just one of the many relationship business drivers that can recession-proof your business in the 2020s. To learn more about the rest, check out my interview with dear friend and BeTheStage co-founder, Pablo Gonzalez on episode 121 of the Business Growth Accelerator show!
Here's what Pablo and I covered on the show:
💥 How To Recession-Proof Your Business.
💥 The Biggest Problems For SMBs and How To Counter Them.
💥 Why Being The Stage is Better Than Being The Speaker.
💥 And so much MORE!
