The three-hour meeting between protesting farmers and the Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister of State for Commerce Som Prakash, on Tuesday, has been brought any resolution to the conflict. The tech giant is making several enhancements to the Teams Calling service, including a more streamlined calling experience.

Cyclone Burevi lies centered over South-West Bay of Bengal about 200 km East of Trincomalee (Sri Lanka); and 420 km East-South-East of Pamban (India); and 600 km nearly East-North-East of Kanniyakumari (India) at 8.30 am on Wednesday morning. An India Meteorological Department (IMD) update at 11.30 am sent an ‘orange’ message to South Tamil Nadu and South Kerala.

Any income that are you have, but ist is not your salary, profits, capital gains or income from income from house properties will also be taxed. These incomes, like dividend income, an immovable property, income by way of winnings from lotteries, crossword puzzles, races including horse races, card games, gambling etc, are reported as 'income from other sources'.

However, if these incomes are earned as a part of your business or profession, the same need to be taxed under the head Profits and Gains from Business or Profession and not Income from Other Sources. It is also important to note that taxpayers can also avail certain deductions, while computing the income chargeable under the head income from other sources.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has persisted with the advice to fishermen for total suspension of their activity from today (Tuesday) to Friday varyingly over South-East Bay on Tuesday; over the South-West Bay and along and off East Sri Lanka coast from Tuesday to Thursday; over the Comorin area, the Gulf of Mannar and the South Tamil Nadu-Kerala coasts from Wednesday to Friday; and over Lakshadweep-Maldives area and adjoining South-East Arabian Sea on Thursday and Friday. Fishermen out at sea are advised to return to the coast by today (Tuesday).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted on Sunday that the farming reforms have opened doors of new opportunities for peasants and bestowed on the new rights.

In his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ broadcast, Modi said the farm laws have begun mitigating the troubles of farmers in a short period of time since their enactment in September. He even cited an example of a farmer in Maharashtra,  who used the provisions provided in the Acts to get the money a trader had promised, but not paid him in time.

New dimensions related to agriculture and related fields have emerged as the recently enacted farm reforms have opened doors of new possibilities for farmers, he said.
