(8/23/23) Markets rallied a bit on Tuesday before selling off by the close; nothing out of the ordinary. Futures this morning are pointing higher, and an ideal situation would be for markets to close higher today. Markets are still trying to push up resistance to where the 20- and 50-DMA converge, but we're still on a sell signal at this point; that signal is starting to flatten. This suggests we could be close to working out the over-bought condition. Caution and patience are the watchwords at this point; avoid any knee-jerk reactions. The big bear market is not coming back here; markets are just having a much-needed correction, and this may provide you with an opportunity to add money to certain sectors.
