Despite the fact that in 2023 the number of women being diagnosed with HIV in Ireland was reported to have doubled since 2019, it's still rare for a woman to share a positive diagnosis. Unfortunately, the stigma around HIV still exists, even though medication now means that a positive diagnosis doesn't need to have a big impact on your life. In this episode you'll hear Aoife's story, how her diagnosis has (and hasn't) impacted her life, and why it's important to get tested.
