Zahra Legris is a psychiatrist who recently arrived back to Dublin after spending two months in the south of Gaza working as a mental health activity manager for MSF, a charity which brings medical support to people in conflict zones, natural disasters and epidemics. I was so grateful to her for speaking to me this week about her work and some of the people she met in Gaza, as well as the long term impact of living in the midst of true horror.

We’ve talked a lot on the pod about racism and discrimination in Ireland and how we can combat it, and that conversation feels particularly valid again with Donald trump in office doing his best to destroy any policies that amplify diversity and inclusion.

Fortunately, this week’s guest is someone who has made understanding and combatting prejudice her career. Mamobo Ogoro is a social psychologist and founder and CEO of Gorm Media, a social enterprise which aims to unify across differences through intercultural media and education. I loved chatting with her this week about how we can confront prejudice and make Ireland a more united place, and I hope you enjoy it too.
