Catholic Women Now

Fr. Chris Seith is a priest in the Archdiocese of Washington, DC. He studied at the North American College in Rome and was ordained in 2014. We chatted about the feminine genius from a priestly perspective, particularly how the feminine gift of receptivity supports our priests. Midway in the show, the complementary role of femininity and masculinity was discussed as a great source of healing in the church today. We concluded with Fr. Chris sharing a profound example of sacrifice from his parent's marriage that has shaped his priestly mission in the church today. Very powerful!

Dr. Carrie Gress is always a delight to have with us. In her latest book, Dr. Gress discusses the origins of the feminist movement. How 12 women in the 1960s were able to influence the western world with the ideology of Marxism egalitarianism to create an illusion of happiness equated with being exactly like men. The premise that nature can be changed is debunked by Dr. Gress. NOTE: men and women are equal in dignity. Through scripture basis, Dr. Carre Gress has identified an anti-Mary spirit in our culture which tears down our true femininity as created images of God. Dr. Gress explains why men are not fighting back. Towards the end of the chat, she provides six ways we can combat this ideology and reclaim a culture of honored motherhood and strong, intact families.

Maria and Deacon Campbell are one of several couples who work with The Third Option, a program to strengthen and support marriage. The Third Option is a mentoring format with trained mentor couples who share their struggles and how they were able to resolve and improve their marriage. Couples of all stages of marriage benefit and assists marriages from struggling to the point of giving up. The Third Option provides hope that what they are facing can be worked out.
