Renee Maguire joins us for the second show of the two-part series on the side effects of the Pill. Today's episode we cover the alternative for healthy reproductive living. We recap the side effects of the Pill but bring an alternative to artificial hormonal birth control. Natural family planning is becoming more and more embraced. Renee provides the Church's teaching to support respect for the body and how our bodies are created to function. The Holy Mother Church desires what is best for us and to live faithfully and in freedom! Renee and her husband are certified instructors of the sympto-thermal fertility awareness method.

Renne Maguire discovered through her own use of the Pill the detrimental side effects of the PIll aka hormonal birth control. Renee sought to know the truth. What she learned will surprise you. Because of what she learned through her own medical research and delving into the teachings of the Catholic church, Renee is now passionate about women and men knowing the truth of these effects. Spoiler alert: The Catholic Church is looking out for our best interest! Many women do not know what artificial hormones are doing their bodies.... some are lasting consequences. As women, we need to be informed of our health and aware of what we are doing to our bodies despite what is read online. Listen in for some very "aha" information that can help yourself and others you know taking birth control to protect your body and be healthy and fertile.

Leila Miller wasn't planning to write and edit a book about the pain children of divorce. She has compiled seventy anonymous provided stories of now adults who lived through the pain of divorce as children. The modern myth that children are resilient and adjust is false. This book helps others to know they are not alone. Leila shares the truth and encourages to seek Christ whose mercy is greater than our sins.

Shannon Evans was planning to do amazing things for God. As a newlywed and just out of college, she and her husband became missionaries in Indonesia. With grand ideas of how she was going to make lives better, Shannon soon realized her limitations. Through contemplation of suffering, she came upon Catholic teaching on suffering that was new truth to her. Together with her husband, they converted from Evangelical protestant to Catholicism. Shannon speaks of finding solidarity with those who are unlike us through our weaknesses.

We sit down with Pietro Boffeli. Pietro is the house leader of the L'Arche community of Tahoma, Washington. L'Arche has grown into a worldwide movement dedicated to bringing men and women with disabilities into the heart of their societies, making their voices heard, and providing a true home to share everyone's unique gifts to the fullest. Pietro gives us a view of the life and dreams of persons with intellectual disabilities and the community is family oriented. And it is said that the teacher can become the pupil. Pietro shares how this experience has transformed him into his own sense of who he is.
