This week on Chicago Beer Pass, Brad Chmielewski and Nik White reach into the cellar and grab a bottle of the 2010 Heartwood Symposium Ale. Then they dive into what they did this past week and Brad and Nik chat about their visits to Empirical Brewing and Breakroom. Coming up this weekend on Friday at 6:00 PM in Romeoville at Metal Monkey Brewing, Chicago pizza boss will be cooking up their amazing food in the parking lot. Then on Saturday, February 13th beginning at noon Local Option will be offering ten varieties of Jester King Brewery beers for on site consumption. Also, on next Wednesday the 17th is a beer & gin dinner! Smylie Brothers will be hosting a buffet-style beer dinner with food from Chef Grant and beers crafted by Brewmaster Brad Pulver. Although there were some great events the guys mentioned on last weeks episode, they both hid from the cold and locked themselves inside. Hopefully they both do a better job this coming week and get to some of the events. Sadly, January is often a slow month for events in Chicago but there are always one or two things happening at your favorite bars. The guys ended the year pretty big by interviewing Jonathan Cutler from Piece Brewery; be sure to check that out if you missed it. On this weeks episode Nik shares his New Years adventure at Salvage One for Brew Years Eve and the guys brag a bit about their great laser tag skills. Things are always a little slow kicking off the new year but we managed to find a few events that you should check out.
