Emily Fox (transgender player) plays with the St Kilda Sharks Women’s Football Club, where she stands at full back and yells and points at her team mates, and this year Em is also coaching the Div2 team, where she’ll stand on the sidelines and yell and point at her team mate.

Debbie is currently the General Manager of Women’s Football at the Western Bulldogs, but she is much more than that. She is a previous president of the VFLW, played over 300 games of football and has spent many years campaigning strongly for Women’s Football, event starting her own club. Debbie has been a true pioneer of the women’s game and has recently received Life Membership in the AFL.

Debbie chatted to the Chicks at the AFLW Pride Game this year about coming out, normalising LGBTI relationships at the footy and what Pride Game means to the Bulldogs.

Fi caught up with Kerryn Harrington the Co-Captain of the Carlton Football club. in the lead up to the third AFLW Pride Game against the Bulldogs. They talked about how the Club educates the players and staff about LGBTI inclusion, why they chose Minus 18 as the charity they would raise money for and the Guernsey design for the game (Carlton generously gifted the CTF team with their very own Pride guernsey).

Breeza and Motty caught up with Hannah Scott, key defender from Western Bulldogs AFLW in the lead up to the AFLW Pride Game. She talked about coming out, being in a relationship with a team mate who arguably has the best name in the comp (Bonnie Toogood) and why we celebrate Pride at the footy.

Carlton defeated the Bulldogs by 21 points in the AFLW Pride game and post match Boundary Bec caught up with Blues star defender Gab Pound.

The AFLW Pride Games are here and we are pretty excited.

Gabby and Jill from Geelong Pride dropped by to let us know what their club are doing this weekend and Fi was down at Whitten Oval at the Pride Game media conference with the players.

It’s so gratifying to know that the players and the clubs are truly behind this movement and can see the difference it makes to the community.

Plus we talked a little bit of footy.

A Chicks Talking Footy special broadcast will take place this Saturday 22 Feb between 2 and 5pm at the Western Bulldogs v Carlton Pride Game. All 5 of the chicks will be there doing interviews, lot’s of footy chat and Bree, Motty and comedian Danny McGinlay will be broadcasting the game.

Also, Fi is buying the hot dogs.

It was an AFLW WA Footy feast on Chicks Talking Footy this week. Motty, Bree and Fi looked ahead to the first ever AFLW WA Derby. Joining us for a chat was West Coast Eagles Wellbeing and pathways manager and pioneer of Womens Football Jan Cooper and young Fremantle FCW star Roxy Roux.

It’s the eve of AFLW season 4 and Chicks Talking Footy returns. Fi, Motty and Rachael got straight back into doing what they know and love. Talking about footy.

Nicole Livingstone, the Head of AFLW, and Tilly Lucas-Rodd, player with St Kilda joined the chicks for a chat.

On the eve of AFLW Season 4, Fi, Motty and Rachael grabbed some time with Head of AFL Womens Nicole Livingstone to check that all is in order for the season.

It is.

And we absolutely cannot wait for it all to start with Richmond v Carlton on Friday night at Ikon Park. See you at the footy.
